After The Lord Of The Rings Return To Moria’s recent announcement at the Epic Games Summer Showcase. People have started to wonder what engine could be powering this epic upcoming co-op adventure set in the Fourth Age Of Middle-earth. Will Return to Moria be in Unreal Engine 5?

There has not been any official word yet from the developers on what engine they plan on using to create their latest masterpiece.

The recent trailer and the epic exclusive deal give us a realistic expectation that this game will be built using a version of Unreal Engine.

Return to Moria Unreal Engine 5

We hope to see FreeRangeGames use Unreal Engine 5 but we realise, depending on how long the game has been in development, this might not be an option.

For now, we are assuming the game is going to be built in Unreal Engine 4.
