The Alchemist's Mortar is a side quest in Enshrouded where you obtain the Mortar for Balthazar.
Speak to Balthazar
The Mortar was found inside the Alchemist's hidden laboratory behind a closed door. It should be returned to its rightful owner. Placing the Mortar in the base will enable new crafting recipes.
