Making A Home

The Flame wants to help you turn your base into a proper home. A home will need furniture. Adding furniture and decoration to your base will also grant you more Comfort, which is necessary for becoming Rested. Furniture allows you to sit or lie down. Lying down at night will pass the time faster until sunrise, and will forgo the challenge of fighting tough enemies in the dark. Craft or obtain a bed to add comfort to your home and to pass dangerous nights! A necessary mattress can be crafted at the Workbench!

You've obtained a bed, making your shelter feel more comfortable. Resting in an environment with high Comfort will increase the duration of your Rested Buff. After a good night's sleep, you will need proper food to face the sunrise head-on. Eating food grants you a Food Buff specific to the meal's type. Such Food Buffs are paramount to increase your stats or boost their regeneration. Before eating food, you must first prepare it. Raw ingredients must be processed over an open flame or cooking station to become edible or unlock their full potential. A refined meal made of multiple elements is more effective than a single roasted ingredient. A Skewer, for example, has greater impact than plain game or vegetables. It must be assembled in your Manual Crafting menu before cooking. For now, process a skewer or any other raw food over a flame to proceed. Take care not to roast it for too long, or it will burn.
