Deal Damage using Skulker Targeter: How to get the BEST score in ARC Raiders Trials

To deal damage using a Skulker Targeter effectively:

1. Load into Stellar Montis (with PvE mode toggled if possible)
2. Use our interactive map to locate Shredders on the map
3. Set-up a couple Skulker targets in a location you want to bait a Shredder into
4. Make use of cover around you between Shredder attacks
5. Repeat until you reach the 3-star reward
6. Extract when you’re done with your score

Trial Preparation

This trial can be done in all party sizes to an effective level, whether that’s gaining your 3-star rating (which requires 3000 score) or pushing to maximize your points for promotion.

What you’ll need

For this Trial, the objective requires dealing as much damage as possible with Skulker Targeters within the raids time limit. As a result, you’ll mostly need basic medical consumables, a back-up weapon for general ARC clearing and emergencies, and of course, as many Skulker Targeters as you could farm. We recommend bringing:

• Bantam IV or Anvil IV with a stack or two of Heavy Ammo
• Survivor MK.3 Augment
• Medium Shield
• 5+ Shield Rechargers
• 5-10+ Bandages
• Adrenaline Shots
• Lure Grenades optional
• As many Skulker Targeters as you can farm up

What is a Skulker Targeter?

The Skulker Targeter is a useable item dropped from a Skulker ARC. You can choose and deploy the targeter on a surface of your choice. You’ll collect one Skulker Targeter per Skulker destroyed. As a result, prepare for this trial by making multiple runs of Pendola Pass to build up a stock.

Which map is best for this trial?

This weekly Trial can be completed on any map. However, we’ve selected Stellar Montis as finding Shredder’s is easy, as well as dealing a good amount of damage per Shredder in contained areas.

How to get the best score for this trial

This Trial in particular is quite a tricky one. If we find a better way to approach this challenge, we’ll immediately update the strategy. However, for now, to achieve the 3-star reward, attempt the following:

1. Check out the map above to scout out some Shredder spawns
2. Once you find a Shredder, prepare some cover, you’ll want to bait the Shredder before hiding
3. Before you aggro the Shredder you’re attempting to hit with the Skulker Targeter, prepare some placements for 3 Targeters as 3 is the limit to how many you can place at once
4. When you’re ready, aggro the Shredder and bait it into attacking while in the line of sight of your Skulker Targeters
5. As soon as it is baited into the right spot and begins charging an attack, run behind cover immediately to avoid damage
6. Each Skulker Targeter fires around 4 shots before disappearing, meaning you’ll have to replace more and again bait the Shredder while doing so
7. It is very tricky to pull off at first, but it’ll get the job done and get you the 3-star reward!

You can get very creative with your set-up, ideally though, try to make each Skulker Targeter face the same line of sight instead of, for example, facing different directions.

It is important to know that the Skulker Targeter can target players too, even on PvE mode. This means even yourself too. As a result, you may take some chip damage here and there. You may also want to alert nearby Raiders of what you’re attempting so they don’t take damage or destroy your Targeters.

Each fully damaged and destroyed Shredder should give around 1000~ score. This can vary though as we had limited testing.

Can I use a Free Loadout for the Deal damage using Skulker Targeter weekly Trial?

We do not recommend using a Free Loadout for this trial. You need to bring in a full inventory of Skulker Targeters to even attempt the trial.
