A Cooling Coil is a component used in various projects. For example, it is required for stage 2 of the Expedition 2 project. To find Cooling Coils, search inside containers and environmental objects like car hoods, buses, mobile generators, metal crates, car tool cabinets, industrial drawers, and red lockers, which are often found in industrial areas.
Where to Find Cooling Coils in ARC Raiders (Best Farming Route)
Cooling Coils are a required crafting component for Phase 2 of the Expedition Project in ARC Raiders. To complete this phase, you’ll need a total of four Cooling Coils, alongside several other industrial materials. While Cooling Coils can spawn in multiple locations, the most reliable and least contested farming spot is the Loading Bay area on Dam Battlegrounds.

Why You Need Cooling Coils
Cooling Coils are required to complete Phase 2 of the Expedition Project, which focuses on upgrading your Caravan’s infrastructure and systems.

Best Location: Loading Bay Area (Dam Battlegrounds)
Cooling Coils spawn inside industrial loot zones. While many players recommend the Hydroponic Dome Complex, that area is almost always heavily contested.
A better option is the Loading Bay area on Dam Battlegrounds, located between the Research & Administration Building and the Primary Facility.

This ensures any Cooling Coils you find are secured immediately.
Bringing Adrenaline Shots is recommended to move faster between containers and reduce exposure time.
Step 2: Reach the Loading Bay
After loading into Dam Battlegrounds, head toward the slope leading down into the Loading Bay, positioned near the Research & Administration Building and Primary Facility.
This zone is clearly industrial-themed and packed with containers that share the Cooling Coil loot pool.
Step 3: Loot All Industrial Containers
Search every crate, locker, and container in the Loading Bay. Cooling Coils commonly appear here alongside other valuable materials, including:
These bonus items are also required for other Expedition phases and workstation upgrades, making this area extremely efficient to farm.

Step 4: Secure and Extract
As soon as you find a Cooling Coil, place it into your Safe Pocket. Once the area is cleared, extract normally and repeat the run until you have all four.
Because the Loading Bay is close to common extraction routes, these runs are fast and low risk compared to other industrial zones.

The Hydroponic Dome Complex can spawn Cooling Coils, but it’s usually overcrowded and risky.
The Loading Bay route lets you progress multiple projects at once.
