The Cat Bed is a Trinket item. Its main use is as a component for upgrading certain equipment at the Workshop. Raiders can obtain Cat Beds by scavenging them from containers and lootable spots found in commercial and residential areas.

How to Find Cat Beds in ARC Raiders
The best place to find a Cat Beds in ARC Raiders is the Buried City – specifically the white plastic containers on the outside ledge of the Red Tower, which almost guarantee a Cat Bed spawn every raid. If you’re on a different map, the Blue Gate northwest Village is your next best bet.
Why You Need Cat Beds in ARC Raiders
Cat Beds are required to upgrade Scrappy, your rooster companion, to Level 4. Scrappy isn’t just a mascot – he’s a passive resource generator, and maxing him out makes a real difference to your between-raid income. The catch is that Cat Beds only show up in Residential and Commercial loot pools, so if you’ve been checking the wrong containers, that’s why your search has been coming up empty.
You’ll also need Very Comfortable Pillows for the Level 5 upgrade – and handily, several of the best Cat Bed spots drop Pillows too, so you can knock both out in the same runs.

Best Location for Cat Beds in ARC Raiders: Buried City Red Tower
The Red Tower in Buried City is the single best spot for Cat Beds – and it doubles as the top location for Very Comfortable Pillows, so it’s worth prioritising whenever you drop into this map. Head for the white plastic containers on the outside ledge. The community has found these to be near-guaranteed spawns, and it’s not unusual to find both a Cat Bed and a Pillow in the same set of containers.
Also check the Red Lockers inside the Red Tower building itself – they’re a confirmed secondary spawn for both items. If other players have already cleared the outer ledge, the lockers are a solid backup before you move on.
- White Plastic Containers (outer ledge): The most reliable Cat Bed spawn in the game. Check these first every time – the community reports finding at least one Cat Bed here on a high percentage of runs.
- Red Lockers (inside Red Tower): A confirmed secondary spawn. Worth a quick check after the outer containers, especially if you’re also hunting Very Comfortable Pillows.

Best Location for Cat Beds in ARC Raiders: Blue Gate Village
If you’re running Blue Gate, head straight to the Village in the northwest. This is a dense residential area with multiple houses to clear, and Cat Beds show up regularly on shelves inside living rooms and in rusty crates outside the buildings. Even if you’re not the first squad in, the sheer number of containers here means there’s usually something left.
- Shelves (inside houses): Cat Beds commonly spawn on open shelves in living rooms – check every ground floor room as you move through the Village.
- Rusty Crates (outside): Don’t skip the crates outside the houses. They have a surprisingly good drop rate for pet items and are often overlooked by other players.

Alternative Cat Bed Locations in ARC Raiders
If Red Tower and the Blue Gate Village are contested or you spawn far away, these spots are worth a detour.
Buried City: Grandioso Apartments
The Grandioso Apartments in the southwest of Buried City are a solid secondary option. Both buildings have multiple floors with bedrooms to loot – check the tops of dressers and any shelves you pass. The Pharmacy near the centre of town is also a confirmed Cat Bed spot, with players regularly finding them on the store shelves.
Dam Battlegrounds: Testing Annex
On Dam Battlegrounds, skip the apartments and go straight to the Testing Annex on the east side of the map. The red lockers here are a confirmed spawn point for Cat Beds – and for Very Comfortable Pillows too, so it’s a good stop if you need both.

Tips for Farming Cat Beds in ARC Raiders
Tip 1: Use Your Safe Pocket Immediately
The moment you find a Cat Bed, put it in your Safe Pocket. Even if you die, you keep it – and it still counts toward Scrappy’s upgrade. Do not risk running it in your main backpack.
Tip 2: Run Naked
Cat Bed runs don’t need gear. Go in with nothing but a couple of
Adrenaline Shots, find what you need, Safe Pocket it, and surrender to requeue. You’ll save gear and get more runs in per session.
Tip 3: Check the Raid Timer
If you drop in and the raid is already well underway, the best containers may already be looted. Keep an eye on how long the raid has been running – if it’s late, it’s often faster to surrender and requeue into a fresh one than to clear half the map for empty shelves.
Tip 4: Grab Pillows at the Same Time
Since Very Comfortable Pillows share most of the same spawn locations – especially the Red Tower white plastic containers and the Testing Annex red lockers – always check for both items on the same run. You’ll need Pillows for Scrappy’s Level 5 upgrade anyway, so there’s no reason to make separate trips.
Tip 5: Use the Interactive Map
Our Interactive Maps can help you plan your route before dropping in – especially useful on Buried City if you’re still learning the layout of the Red Tower area and Grandioso Apartments.
